How I work

Individually
designed.
Always tailored
to you.

There is no one-size-fits-all in therapy. Every person I work with gets a personalized plan built around their needs, strengths, and goals, with regular check-ins to make sure we're on the right track.

My journey into this work

My path into mental health wasn't accidental. It grew from a genuine curiosity about people. Why we do what we do. What keeps us stuck. And how change becomes possible.

That curiosity has guided 13 years of clinical work, ongoing training, and a commitment to staying at the forefront of evidence-based care. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important ingredients in meaningful change, and I bring my full self to building that relationship.

My therapeutic foundation

My techniques blend three core elements that I bring to every session, regardless of what we're working on.

01

Empathetic, person-centered curiosity

I approach every person with genuine interest and openness, no assumptions, no judgment. You are the expert on your own life.

02

Intentional feedback

I won't just reflect back what you say. When it matters, I'll challenge you, with care and directness, because real growth requires honest dialogue.

03

Authenticity

Therapy should feel like a real conversation. I show up as myself so you feel safe doing the same.

The clinical approach

DBT & RO DBT

I am a member of the DBT and RO DBT gold standard consult team with DBT Eastside in Bellevue. The therapy I provide draws on both approaches, tailored to what each individual client needs.

Radically Open DBT

For overcontrol & rigid patterns

RO DBT is designed for people who tend toward overcontrol, high achieving, self-disciplined, and driven, but often feeling isolated, exhausted, or disconnected. It focuses on openness, flexibility, and genuine social connection.

Can be delivered as Gold Standard (weekly skills classes, individual sessions, diary cards, and coaching calls) or as an Informed lighter touch approach incorporating specific skills relevant to your life.

Perfectionism Anxiety Depression ADHD OCD Disordered eating People pleasing

Standard DBT

For emotion regulation & relationships

Standard DBT helps individuals coping with strong emotions, impulse control, and relationship challenges. It builds practical, lasting skills for navigating life with greater ease and stability.

Like RO DBT, this can be delivered as a full gold standard program or as an informed approach, woven into sessions based on what's most useful for you.

Strong emotions Impulse control Relationships Crisis skills Distress tolerance
My approach is always tailored to you. Whether we use Gold Standard DBT, Informed DBT, RO DBT, or a blend, the plan is built around your individual needs, not a fixed formula. I also incorporate elements of CBT where relevant.
